Sunburst Tangerine is a popular commercial variety in Florida, and for good reason.Ā Sunburst Tangerine fruit trees areĀ thornless, vigorous, disease-resistant, and moderately cold-hardy and the fruit is juicy and delicious.Ā Ā The beloved SunburstĀ Tangerine is a cross between the two citrus hybrids Robinson and Osceola.Ā The peel is an outstanding dark orange color with excellent internal juice color.

Planting, cultural care, pruning, and harvesting are similar for all citrus plants, with a few slight variations. Generally, they are best planted inĀ filteredĀ sun with well-drained soil that can hold moisture and nutrients. Citrus trees a particularly high demand for nitrogen.
