Sugar Apple is a small deciduous tropical fruit tree or shrub from the custard apple family known by the names of Sugar Apple, Sweetsops, or Custard Apple.  Sugar Apple Trees are native to the tropical climates of the America's, as well as the Caribbean however they have been naturalized elsewhere are are cultivated in other tropical climates throughout the world for their delicious tasting fruit.  Hard fruiting type.

The Thai Lessard Sugar Apple variety is known for it's green skin and good production.  Sugar apple is primarily consumed fresh, as a dessert fruit. The pulp has an excellent flavor and may be incorporated into ice cream and milk shakes. The fruit contains some vitamin C and A.  Fruit is also a good source of protein, riboflavin, and niacin.

Soil & Moisture:
Rich, well-drained soil with light acidity suit these warm-weather plants best.  Provide regular moisture and humidity, but be careful not to over water. Annona's are intolerable to water-logging. Requires deep watering during growing/fruiting seasons and less during winter dormancy.

Annona's (especially Soursop) may defoliate during the winter in subtropical regions (40 degrees or lower), but remain evergreen in their native deep tropical habitats. Sugar Apples are generally tolerant to 28 degrees, whereas some Annona's like Soursop will need more cold protection if growing outdoors in Zone 9.

Propagation: 
Our Annonas are grown from seed and air-layering and are capable of fruiting within 2-5 years.

    Although the top branch broke off🙄,my tree arrived ,otherwise, in great shape. Not too many leaves, but expected around this time in the season. Very tall tree even with the break(🙃)and nice sice trunk. Looking forward to some delicious fruits 😋

    Green and ready to grow

    Arrived quickly. I was picturing a few more branches, but it has the starts of quite a few and I bet it traveled better and happier like this. Tall, has a bud, green and ready to grow.
