Growing Tips

Plant in full sun to partial shade with well-drained, fertile soil. Yomogi prefers regular moisture while establishing and becomes more drought-tolerant once established. Plant 12–18 inches apart to allow room for growth. Like other vigorous perennial herbs, Yomogi spreads through underground stolons, so plant in containers or bordered beds if you want to keep its growth contained. Trim regularly to maintain shape and encourage fresh growth. Hardy in USDA Zones 4–9.
