Moujean Tea, Bahama Berry (Nashia inaguensis)

Moujean Tea, also known as Bahama Berry, is a rare evergreen perennial shrub native to the Bahamas and Caribbean. Belonging to the Verbenaceae family, this plant is well-suited for container gardening and subtropical settings, reaching heights of about 3 to 4 feet. It's sometimes even used for Bonsai!

The small, glossy leaves of Moujean Tea are noted for their aromatic qualities, releasing a honey-citrus scent when disturbed. It flowers prolifically from late spring to early fall, producing clusters of tiny, white flowers that attract pollinators and add to its ornamental appeal. Pollinators, especially butterflies, love the flowers and sweet aroma of Bahama Berry blooms! It's tiny orange fruit a favorite as well.
