It grows as a sprawling ground cover, sending out horizontal runners. It also grows well in containers and hanging baskets. Aztec Sweet Herb leaves are extremely sweet, known to be 1500 times sweeter than ordinary sugar!
It is from the Verbenaceae family and may also be known by the common names such as Mexican Lippia, Bushy Lippia and Honey Herb. Aztec Sweet herbs sweet flower buds are sold as dushi or dulce buttons.
