Red Leaf Cranberry Hibiscus, also known as False Roselle or African Rosemallow  is a tall upright growing perennial herb.  It produces brilliantly colored edible leaves that have a crisp, light and tart flavor.  The deep purple leaves are a nutritious and vibrant addition to salads or stir fries, and are often thought of and prepared as a vegetable.

Cranberry Hibiscus would serve wonderfully as a hedge in any garden, growing tall, wide, and full of ornamental branches and deep red hibiscus flowers.  Medicinally, leaves and flowers are a rich source of Vitamin C and antioxidants.
