The rare Yellow Passion Fruit is a tropical fruiting vine, native to the tropical world.  The unique pulp of the yellow fruit has a sweet, acidic, tropical flavor. Like most passionfruit vines, Passiflora ligularis is a vigorously growing thing of beauty. The ornate and colorful flowers of the Yellow passionfruit are a sight you will never forget.

There are close to 500 varieties of passion flower grown today, along with the Purple passionfruit the Yellow passionfruit is one of the only types of passionfruit commercially grown. The Yellow is known to fruit more prolifically in the right conditions. Yellow Passion Fruit flowers are also larger more aromatic than the Purple variety.
