COVID-19 Nationwide Shipping & Local Pickup Changes

Dear Sow Exotic Customers,

Thank you for your continued support and patience through the changes brought on by the pandemic situation. We have a few updates to share on how we will process orders. We want to ease the burden of fulfilling the recent surge of orders, and make waiting less painful. Here is what changed:

  1. Nursery Pickup Made Easier
    To pick up your order at the nursery, please choose the NEW ‘Nursery Pickup’ option at checkout. This will automatically remove shipping fees from your order. You will be prompted to select a pickup date and time at the Nursery before confirming your order. You will no longer need to schedule a pickup appointment outside of the checkout process. The Sow Exotic Nursery is open for curbside pickups from 10:00-6:00 on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. No same-day pickup at this time.

    Please note: Abuse of the “Nursery Pickup” option for out-of-state orders will not result in free shipping. An additional handling charge of $15, plus the cost of Standard Shipping & Handling will apply.


  2. Nationwide Shipping Via USPS Priority
    Yes, we're shipping nationwide! Our usual processing time for shipping orders is 1-2 weeks. With the recent surge in orders, our processing time can be delayed for up to an additional week. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience, and appreciate your patience.

    Additionally, USPS just announced that all Priority Mail and First Class Package services are facing additional delay times. This means that our speedy 1-3 day shipping could increase up to 4 days. Your patience and understanding will make all of the difference here.

    Here is how to make the wait easier: After your order is placed, you will receive an email with your order confirmation. Click the green button that says ‘View Your Order Status Page’ to sign up for detailed text and email alerts on your order status.  You will automatically receive an email alert when your shipping label is created even if you do not sign up for these text notifications.


  3. We Can’t Accommodate All Requests to Combine Orders.
    While in the past we have combined shipping costs for multiple orders, the recent surge has made it complicated to do this for all orders. Please be aware of this when you frequently place multiple orders.
