White Crane Flower, also called Snake Jasmine, is a rare hard-to-find but easy to grow evergreen perennial herb native to Tropical Asia and the western Indian Ocean. A member of the Acanthaceae family along with Asystasia, the White Crane Flower is easily recognized through its flat, white, delicate blossoms that give the plant its common name.

Growing as tall as 6 ft, this hedge-like herb is an easy maintenance addition to any garden and surely will find its way into your list of favorites! Our White Crane Flower plants are grown from cutting and are capable of harvesting within 1 year and has a high propagation rate!

Ornamental and medicinal, the other common name “Snake Jasmine” stems from its use to treat snake venom. Bearing naphthoquinones, flavonoids and phytosterols, the White Crane Flower is considered anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and detoxicant.  With numerous uses, this rare antioxidant powerhouse is a favorite amongst many herbal apothecaries. Roots and leaves can be processed and used externally to assist with ringworm, eczema, and other skin conditions. White Crane Flower's root can be used as an aphrodisiac in a boiled milk drink, and even the seeds have use as a fabric fragrance. The herb tastes sweet, and a little bit bitter, and can be dried, pulverized or distilled, depending on needs.
