Blueberry 'Sweetcrisp' (Vaccinium corymbosum)
'Sweetcrisp' is a highly vigorous bush with excellent field survival. Its berries are unusually firm, crisp, and sweet. The berries are medium to large, medium dark, with excellent scar and remarkable firmness. The Sweetcrisp Blueberry is a southern highbush type early to mid-season blueberry requiring less than 100 chill hours.
It has beautiful dark green foliage, remarkable sweet crisp fruit, and is easy to grow in the ground or in containers. Compared to our other Blueberry varieties, the Sweetcrisp will have a mature size of 4-6 feet, fruits most prolifically in the Spring, and grows best in Zones 7-10.
