How does the Local Pickup process work?
The process is simple! Start by browsing the impressive selection of plants on the Sow Exotic website. Once you've made your choices, proceed to checkout and select the Local Pickup option. You'll receive an email confirmation with details about when and where to pick up your plants.
When can I pick up my plants?
Our Local Pickup is available Tuesday through Thursday 10:00am-4:00pm, so your pickup time will fall in those times. If hours are different for holidays, we'll let you know!
Why choose Local Pickup over traditional shipping?
Local Pickup offers several advantages. Firstly, it eliminates the wait time associated with shipping and the shipping cost, allowing you to bring home your plants almost immediately without paying for shipping. Plus, as a bonus, we'll get to meet you! That's our favorite reason.
Can I still enjoy Sow Exotic's wide plant variety with Local Pickup?
Absolutely! Sow Exotic's Local Pickup service includes our full, diverse range of plants, from tropical fruit trees to rare herbs. You'll still have access to the same extraordinary selection that Sow Exotic is known for. Even our tools and supplies are eligible for pickup!
Is there a minimum order requirement for Local Pickup?
Sow Exotic understands that plant enthusiasts may have different needs. Whether you're looking for a single plant or planning a mini garden makeover, there's no minimum order requirement for Local Pickup.
Can I just come shop in person instead of ordering online?
Currently, Sow Exotic does not offer in-person shopping, but all of our beautiful plants and supplies are available online!
What do I need to bring to my Pickup?
Our confirmation email will explain things top, but here's what you'll need to bring:
- Order Confirmation: You can show us the email on your phone or print it out ahead of time (we're not picky). We'll need to see your name and the Order Number.
- Photo ID: We'll match your name on the ID to the one on your order. (Not the one doing the pickup? See the next question for information on updating your pickup order.)
- A vehicle that has room for all the plants: Our Pickup orders aren't packaged like they are when we ship them, so they'll need to be upright in your car for their safety. Making sure you have enough room is especially important when ordering our X-Large 3 gallon plants as those can be up to 6 feet tall!
How do I update my order or set up an additional pickup person?
Email our Fulfillment Team at firstname.lastname@example.org to request changes to your order, provide information for an additional pickup person, or if you need help figuring out how much space you'll need to transport your plants. Please email our team at least 24 hours prior to your pickup.
Note: Our Pickup service has a reduced processing time as the plants are not packaged for shipping, so requests for changes to your order are not guaranteed.
