Pennyroyal, also known as Indian Mint or Mosquito Plant is a member of the Mint family and is native to Europe, N. Africa and the Middle East.  Pennyroyal is an intensely strong fragrant perennial herb. It makes an excellent ground cover or hanging potted plant. The leaves are toothed and oval in shape. The aroma of crushed Pennyroyal leaves has been described as being similar to peppermint. It generally thrives in moist, damp areas and flowers brilliantly in spring.
